1Install Telegram on your primary device

Create an account with a phone number
Telegram uses your phone number for verification only. You can hide it later, pick a public @username so people find you without seeing the number, and add contacts via link or QR code.
3Link Telegram Desktop or Web
Open Telegram Desktop or Web, choose Log in by QR code and aim your phone at the code (Settings → Devices → Link Desktop Device). Your entire chat history is available on the new session within seconds.

4Tune notifications and folders

5Set your privacy essentials
Under Privacy and Security, hide the phone number, switch last-seen to My Contacts, turn on two-step verification, and enable app lock with Face ID / Touch ID / Fingerprint.
