Keeping Telegram iOS up to date
Because iOS updates flow through the App Store, you can turn on Automatic App Updates under Settings → App Store. Manually check for a fresh build by long-pressing the App Store icon and choosing Updates. Big Telegram releases usually ship every 4–6 weeks with new features and important fixes.
iOS-specific safety recommendations
- • Enable two-step verification, then set a Passcode plus Face ID lock inside Telegram → Settings → Privacy and Security.
- • Turn on Screen Lock so Telegram hides content in the app switcher preview.
- • Use Hide Sender in Notifications on shared iPads to keep previews private.
- • Regularly review Active Sessions to sign out any device you no longer use.
Combine Telegram iOS with other builds
The same Telegram account can live on your iPhone, iPad, Mac, Windows PC and inside a browser at the same time. Every message you type on iPhone appears on the other devices in seconds.
