Choosing guide
How to choose the right Telegram version
Pick your primary device first, then add the other builds later — all Telegram installers connect to the same cloud account and stay in sync automatically.
If you spend most of your day on a laptop, the Telegram Desktop build for Windows or a native macOS app will feel snappier than the web version and integrates properly with system notifications, Focus modes and keyboard shortcuts.
On mobile, the iOS and Android apps are optimized for touch, camera integrations, biometric locks and background notifications. If you switch between devices frequently, you can be signed in on all of them at once — every message stays synchronized in the cloud.
For guest computers, temporary sessions or Linux/ChromeOS machines, Telegram Web is the safest option: it leaves no installed software behind and can be signed out remotely from your phone if you forget to close the tab.
Before you start the download
Step 1
Confirm your operating system
Windows 10/11, current macOS, iOS 15+ and Android 6+ are the recommended targets. Older systems still work but may lag one release behind.
Step 2
Use the official page for your device
Every platform page on this hub links to a single verified installer — that keeps you clear of modified or bundled builds.
Step 3
Turn on two-step verification
After signing in, open Privacy & Security and enable two-step verification so no one can hijack your account with an SMS code alone.
