Open Telegram Web straight from your browser

Telegram Web is the fastest way to try Telegram on a new computer or on a device where you can't install software. The full messenger — chats, channels, media, calls — lives in one browser tab and syncs with your phone in real time.

Launch Telegram Web now

Opens the official Telegram Web app in a new browser tab.

Requirements
Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari (current version)
Delivered through the official Telegram network.

No installation required — clicking the button opens Telegram Web in a fresh tab. Sign in with your phone number or scan the QR code from your active Telegram session.

When Telegram Web beats the desktop app

The browser version shines whenever you need Telegram for a short session: hotel lobbies, library computers, colleagues' laptops or operating systems without an official desktop build (like some Linux distributions or ChromeOS). You get the same chats and channels without leaving traces on the machine.

Zero footprint

Nothing is installed on the host device. Sign out or close the tab and no cache remains beyond what your browser retains.

Live cloud sync

Every message you send from the web appears on your phone, desktop and tablet instantly. Telegram stores nothing locally unless you enable it.

How to open Telegram Web and sign in

  1. 1Click 'Open Telegram Web' above — the official Telegram Web page will open in a new tab.
  2. 2Choose 'Log in by QR code' on the Web page.
  3. 3On your phone: Settings → Devices → Link Desktop Device, then aim the camera at the QR code.
  4. 4Telegram Web loads your chats in a couple of seconds. Optionally allow browser notifications when prompted.
  5. 5When you finish, click your avatar in the sidebar → Log out to end the session.

Telegram Web A vs Web K vs Web Z

Telegram ships more than one browser client. Web K is the current default: modern UI, feature parity close to mobile. Web A is the classic lightweight version, useful on slower machines. Web Z is experimental and targets designers who want to try upcoming layouts. All three sign in with the same phone number and see the same cloud chats.

Staying secure inside a browser tab

  • • Turn on two-step verification before signing in on shared hardware.
  • • Use a private / incognito window to avoid leaving your Telegram session in someone else's profile.
  • • Review Active Sessions from your phone occasionally and end anything unfamiliar with one tap.
  • • Secret Chats do not show up in the browser — they stay on the phone that created them.

Compare Web with the installed Telegram builds

Telegram Web is convenient, but native apps offer stronger notifications, offline caching and system integration. If you use Telegram every day, pair the browser version with the app for your main device.
